CREATIVE PROCESS

The process involves creating a high-contrast black and white image from a carefully curated photograph, which is then digitally stripped back and cleaned up, allowing for a hand-cut stencil to be meticulously crafted at scale from your unique print.

The application of paint is sprayed through the stencil onto cold-pressed watercolour paper with deckled edging. This spraying technique encourages a fluidity of movement and invites subtle imperfections that help give texture and life to the portrait. 

Multiple colours are introduced through additional layered stencils or watercolour embellishments.
